For Valentine’s Day, Higher Prices For Gold Jewelry

Friday, February 15th, 2008

Last-minute Lotharios hoping to pave the way to romance with gold jewelry this Valentine’s Day will pay a pretty penny for those glittery gifts.

Men, not surprisingly, will dish out the most money to mark Valentine’s Day this year, spending an average of $163.37 on cards and gifts, according to the National Retail Federation. About one-quarter, 26.5% , will buy jewelry.

Sunday, February 10th, 2008
