Go Do The Errands First!

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

Argh, just as I thought I was ready to start writing blog posts about Mother’s Day gifts, hubby called and reminded me to buy him the acne face wash!

Instead of doing the errands after my online work, I think I had better do it now. I have forgotten to buy the acne face wash hubby wants a few times. So, if I forget again today, hubby will kill me. :-)

You know, once I start my online work, I am like being glued to the chair. Well, I can’t help.

Free Or Inexpensive Mother’s Day Gifts

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

With the tough economic times, free or inexpensive gifts with a personal touch are the most endearing Mother’s Day gifts.

Flowers, chocolate, candy, luxurious clothing, jewelry and treats, like a beauty treatment or trip to a spa are all wonderful Mother’s Day gifts that show the women in our lives how much we really appreciate all that they do for us and mean to us.

Have you got any gift ideas yet?

Luxury Watches As Father’s Day Gifts

Friday, May 30th, 2008

Have you thought of buying watches as Father’s Day gifts? Previously, I suggested giving Invicta women’s watches as Mother’s Day gifts to your mom, mom-in-law or grandmoms. I am subscribed to Amazon’s Today Deals, so I tend to grab very good deals from there.

This time I am going to recommend you to consider men’ watches. What about luxury watches like Jaeger LeCoultre watches?

Fantastic Gift Ideas For Mother’s Day

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

Why didn’t you tell me this fantastic website — MothersDayCentral earlier?” I kept telling off my buddy who only told me about this wonderful website a few days after Mother’s Day. If she had told me earlier, I would have picked up more gift ideas that I could share with my sisters and also readers.

As you can see, MothersDayCentral.com is definitely about Mother’s Day. In fact, it is. Everything related to Mother’s Day can be found under one roof. Whether you want to know the History of Mother’s Day, when is Mother’s Day for different countries, what you should do to appreciate mom, get more tips to surprise mom, plan for Mother’s Day activities, or search for various gift ideas such as gifts, cards, crafts, flowers, recipes, printable coupons, poems or verses, it is for sure that you will get what you want there.

While hanging out at this website, it suddenly dawned on me that I shouldn’t just buy my mom gift when it is Mother’s Day. I should give my mom gift anytime I like to show that I love her.

New Lighting Systems As Father’s Day Gift

Monday, May 12th, 2008

Fine Art LampsMom and grandma were so happy to receive their Mother’s Day gifts yesterday. Now I am thinking what I should get for my uncle as a Father’s Day gift. My uncle was the one who brought me and my sisters up, so he is like my father.

I remember my uncle complained about the wiring systems. He went to shop for new lighting for the home the other day and was asked by the sales executive if his house was a new one or old one. It’s an old home and has old wiring systems that may not be able to support just any new lighting system.

He was kind of disappointed as he had picked up a few kichler lighting and fine art lamps.

I guess he doesn’t know that upgrading the wiring system can solve his problem. It’s good to install new lighting systems as most new systems today consume less electricity. Fluorescent bulbs burn 30% less electricity than standard bulbs, and can now produce a very natural light, unlike the garish lights of the old fluorescent.

Perhaps installing new wiring and lighting systems for him can be a very good Father’s Day gift.

Appliance Parts & Loving Family (R) Small Sterling Silver 2Parent/2Child Pendant As Mother’s Day Gifts

Saturday, May 10th, 2008

Loving Family (R) Small Sterling Silver 2Parent/2Child PendantGuess what I am giving my mom as Mother’s Day gifts this year? A Sterling Silver Pendant and a website that provides correct Appliance Parts for home and kitchen appliances.

My mom seems to have difficulty in finding the right appliance parts for her dishwasher and microwave. This website will definitely come in handy when she needs appliance parts again in future.

The second gift is this Loving Family (R) Small Sterling Silver 2Parent/2Child Pendant. I must say that it is much lovlier than it appears online.

It has a bit of sparkle to it that you can’t tell from the picture or even when it is in the box. But the sparkle is quite noticeable when worn.

The price of this Sterling Silver Pendant ($24.99) is more than reasonable for such a beautiful gift. So, don’t let the picture online fool you. This necklace is beautiful.

Mother’s Day Gifts: Better Late Than Never – World Food Programme Feed Bag

Saturday, May 10th, 2008

World Food Programme Feed BagThinking that it’s too late to order a Mother’s Day gift now? Well, better late than never. No matter how late you give your mom the Mother’s Day gift, she will still be pleased to receive it.

If you have given your mom jewelry, fragrance, gift baskets, or blinds the previous years, what about a tote bag for your mom this year?

I love this World Food Programme Feed Bag. To be able to get something this stylish and practical while supporting such a heart-warming cause is just incredible.

Good quality, very sturdy. I like that it is reversible, it’s like having two bags in one! The white side makes it look sporty and the other side it’s for a more natural look. On the white side it has three pockets, one on the front (could store a magazine) and two on the sides (perfect for cell pone, keys, etc).

I take this World Food Programme Feed Bag with me to classes, travels, oh… and I guess it could even work for my knitting stuff!
